"se lo puoi pensare, lo puoi fare"

L’idea per questa linea di accessori handmade nasce nell’estate 2011 dalla mente di Sara Bettinati, designer di abbigliamento e maglieria, allo scopo di creare qualcosa di veramente suo, che rappresentasse se stessa ed il suo colorato e mondo.

Dopo un viaggio a Copenaghen ed Amsterdam Sara trova finalmente l’ispirazione giusta e decide così di volere utilizzare la carta di riviste vintage come base per i suoi manufatti. Fogli di giornale anni '40 '50 raffiguranti immagini di moda, pubblicità, articoli sono la materia prima di questo progetto. A questi si aggiungono vecchie mappe geografiche italiane ed estere, fumetti d'epoca, sillabari della metà del secolo, carte astronomiche vintage, spartiti musicali, vecchi libretti contabili scritti a mano e libri di botanica.

Per dare tenacità, resistenza e impermeabilità alla carta Sara sperimenta, dopo innumerevoli tentativi, un valido metodo artigianale per rendere impermeabili e resistenti i fogli prima di cucirli con la vecchia macchina da cucire anni ’70 della nonna. E la sua idea finalmente prende forma nel 2013.
Il risultato sono dei pezzi unici o prodotti in serie limitatissima che trasmettono, attraverso le immagini, i colori e le fantasie, positività, armonia, spensieratezza. Ciò che serve al giorno d’oggi per staccare la mente dalla quotidianità, dall’usuale.

Tutti gli accessori sono diversi come aspetto l’uno dall’altro: questo sta a significare il bisogno di continuo cambiamento, l’infinito viaggio della mente attraverso un mondo atipico al fine di non cadere mai nell’abitudinario, in ciò che va di moda, nei trends che ci vengono imposti.

Un inno all'anti omologazione. Qui non troverete collezioni primavera/estate o autunno/inverno ma solo pezzi unici sfornati di giorno in giorno stra-artigianalmente, rigorosamente fatti a mano dall'impermealizzazione fino all'ultima cucitura.

I canoni, le tempistiche, la rigorosità dettata dal fashion system non trovano casa nella filosofia di Sara'sPaper. Perchè ogni persona è unica e si merita un accessorio altrettanto unico.

Chi vuole segua la massa, il "gregge". Sara'sPaper va ed andrà sempre dalla parte opposta.

Old newspapers from 40 50 60  acquire a second life becoming useful  handmade accessories.

Sara Bettinati was a knitting and clothing designer but during summer 2011 she started desiring to create something special, unique, representing  her emotions and her colorful world.
After a trip to  Copenhagen and Amsterdam Sara had the final  inspiration for her “own brand". She wanted to use "vintage paper" for her line and started collecting old magazine and newspaper of the 40 50' 60'. This means that fashion pictures, famous advertising and newspaper-news became the row material of Sara's project.
The idea was to create a real waterproof and resistant "tissue" with these simple papers.
 
It took almost two years to find the proper artisan solution and finally she started  producing in 2013.....wallets, coin purses, make-up cases, pochette, tabacco cases, eyeglasses holderS, tablet cases and so on......everything hand-made using an old 1970 sewing-machine owned by Sara’s granny.

Sara’s Paper brand is therefore a vintage collection of unique pieces produced in limited editions.  Every accessory is created by an unique magazine-page and through the images, the colors and slogan stated on them Sara wants to transmit emotions like positiveness, harmony, thoughtlessness, lightness .......a real daydream.
You as final customer will be involved in choosing your favorite picture searching through the wide offer knowing to be buying an ecologic, functional, handmade creation realized recycling an 80 years old piece of paper.

Sara's careful search for these rare magazines is carried out in antiques shops or in old attics. Than she designs, creates and stitches her own accessories inside her small cozy lab.
It is a lovely room in her house, with a fine view over the green south-Verona countryside.
